Take steps to implement the changes/actions you see below. Once you are actively doing something on the list, and you've made it a habit, move on to forming a habit doing the next item on the list. Take it a step at a time, but feel free to do multiple things on the list at once if you can!
- Read your Bible every day (Romans 12:2).
- See your submission to others as submission to God and as a way to show your faith in God (James 4:7, 1 Peter 3:5).
- Actively practice speaking highly of your authorities rather than disrespecting them in your thoughts or words (1 Peter 2:17, 1 Peter 3:6).
- (As a married woman) practice submitting to your husband even when it's uncomfortable, just as Jesus suffered in His submission to God and government (1 Peter 2:18,21).
- Actively pray to be more submissive to your authorities.
- Actively ask your authorities how you can submit to them better, and what else you can do to serve them.
- Doing what your authorities ask of you without saying anything back--no excuses or complaints (Titus 2:9-10).
