Verses 1-6

Use your words to honor and praise God in all situations, and encourage others to do the same.

Think and talk about how God has saved you and answered your prayers. Recall these memories, and use them to praise God.

And boast about God's works. This will bring joy to other believers.

Verses 7-18

God is good to those who trust and fear Him.

If we fear, trust, and seek God by avoiding sin and obeying His Word, we will have God's protection, and we will not lack anything good that we need.

But things will be bad if we stay in sin.

When you do sin, be sorry about it and change your ways. It's ok that you makes mistakes, just be repentant.

If you are lacking anything good in your life, think about how you can grow in your obedience to God.

Verses 19-22

We will go through many hardships in life for following Jesus, but in the end we will be saved from all pain and evil.

Don't think that life will be easy. Understand that there will be hardships in this life, and don't be surprised when they happen. Rejoice about the fact that Christ has saved you (John 16:33).

No believer will be condemned to hell, but unbelievers will be condemned.
