Verses 1-27

After the Millennium, God will melt and destroy the earth with fire (2 Peter 3:10,12, Psalm 102:25-27), and God will create a new earth (2 Peter 3:13, Isaiah 65:17-18), which is described in this chapter.

This new earth will host a heavenly city, the New Jerusalem, that will be planted on the new earth. This new earth will have entirely different and unimaginably greater conditions that the earth we know today. There will be no more death, sorrow, or suffering, and we will enjoy perfect relationship with God. No sin nor sinners will ever exist in this new earth.

Look forward to this day (2 Peter 3:13-14)! Knowing that the new earth will be perfect and holy, you are live holy, as a way of living worthy of the kingdom that you will inherit (1 Thessalonians 2:12).
