This Babylon the Great has a commercial existence, and its destruction will also have a catastrophic economic effect.

If we sum it up, Babylon the Great is a kingdom comprised of men and rulers, both natural and unnatural, both from earth and from the bottomless pit, that is involved in not only standard commerce and trade, but also selling the bodies and souls of humans (verse 13), as well as practicing fornication (verse 3), deception and sorcery (verse 23), and the martyrdom of believers (verse 24).

This kingdom is the chiefest of evil establishments in the world, and the most powerful (Daniel 2:39-40). It is demonic to its core. All nations on the planet are made rich with the wealth of this kingdom, all nations are complicit in its sin (verse 3), and all nations will mourn over its destruction (verses 9-10).

The antichrist will sell the mark of the beast, and the nations will “sell over” their citizens to the mark, so that the bodies and souls of humans will be used for the enemy's purposes.

Even today, this great Babylon teems and grows in the shadows. It exists today as a hidden government of the enemy—like a shadow government or ultimate deep state. And it is by this government that “the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one” (1 John 5:19).

Our task is simple: “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.” Do not participate in any of the sins of the world, and you will be free from the control of this evil in the earth.
