Verse 1-3

Be careful about how you act and speak, and especially when in the presence of unbelievers.

Don't vent your frustrations to unbelievers. Don't speak if you can't speak rightly.

Verses 4-6

Instead, vent your thoughts in prayer to God.

Remember that your life is short and fragile, and that it's not worth wasting it in frustration and useless busyness.
Verses 7-13

Verse 7. The only hope and purpose that you have is in your relationship with God. Focus on Him.

Verse 9. Don't complain about your hardships, but take them quietly and patiently, because God is in the one in control, and letting you go through them.

Verses 10-11. Sometimes we go through things as consequences for our own sin.

Instead of complaining, pray.

Pray to be delivered from any sin, so you can be obedient to God. This is what's important.
