Verses 1-11

After the women, Mary, and even two of the disciples, had reported to the others, on eye-witness testimony, that Jesus was alive, they did not believe it.

They were so overcome with the grief of Jesus' death that they could not believe that Jesus was alive.

If we are sad about our faith, we show that we do not have much faith in Jesus' resurrection.

Look into Jesus' resurrection, and let it bring you joy! Belief in the resurrection brings great joy (John 16:22).

Verses 12-14

Unbelief causes a hard heart, and a hard heart makes it difficult to belief in things that are miraculous.

Do not doubt the Word. Soften your heart by renewing your mind—reading the Word daily—and you will help your belief.

Verses 15-20

Spread the gospel everywhere that you can, and know that God will provide the signs and miracles that are needed.

Make disciples out of those that believe, baptize them, teach them, and add them to your church (Matthew 28:18-20).
