Jesus' Healing Ministry
1. Jesus performed many healings. In the region of Galilee, everyone who was sick came to Him, and all of them were healed (Mark 1:29-32, Matthew 4:23-35, Matthew 8:14-17, Luke 4:38-41).
2. At other times, Jesus healed specific individuals, or small portions of a city (Mark 6:1-13, John 5:1-15). Why sometimes everyone was healed and other times not?
3. Healing happens according to God's will (Hebrews 2:3-4, Acts 14:3), and Jesus did only what the Father directed Him to do (John 5:19-20). God's will for each person/situation is different. See examples in Jesus' life:
Sometimes, a person needs to have their own belief in order for them to be healed (Luke 4:23-27, Luke 5:17-24, Mark 6:4-6, Matthew 13:57-58, Matthew 9:28-31, Acts 14:8-10).
Sometimes, a person must repent of their sin in order for them to be/stay healed (John 5:14, 1 Corinthians 11:27-30).
Sometimes, a specific action must be taken in order for a person to be healed (Mark 7:31-35, Mark 8:22-26, John 9:6-7).
Sometimes, multiple prayers for a person are needed for them to be healed (Mark 8:23-25).
Sometimes, a certain timing is needed for a person to be healed (John 11:3-7, Acts 3:1-8).
