Isaiah 25

Verses 1-12

  • Isaiah praises God for His judgments (verse 2).

    • God's judgment is truly something to praise God for. God is just and righteous in all that He does. Even today, praise God for all His works in your life. Your circumstances are under His will, and His ways are perfect. Praise Him for this!

  • When the end comes, believers will rejoice when God's judgments are over, and unbelievers will fear God at last (verse 3), having been humbled (verses 10-12).

  • Finally, there will be a great feast for believers, something referred to as the Marriage Supper of the Lamb (Revelation 19:9, Matthew 26:29)—a celebration of great victory (verse 6).

    • At this time, death and sadness will have come to an end (1 Corinthians 15:54, Revelation 20:14, 21:4).

  • And the veil of deception that lies on the earth, causing people not to believe and the gospel, will have been lifted (Ephesians 4:18, 2 Corinthians 3:15-16, 4:3-4). Everyone will see and know the truth.
