If you want to take time to do the math, you can learn that it is fully possible for all the people on the earth today to have descended from Noah over the course of roughly 4,400 years, from the flood until now.

Early in earth's history, after Noah's flood, God permitted men to have multiple wives because it was needed for a time in order to replenish the earth. Now, believers should have one spouse (1 Timothy 3:2).
