Verses 1-6
-
Now we learn that Jesus is greater than Moses. Moses was a member of the household of God, but Jesus built that household. Since “He who built all things is God”, this makes Jesus God.
-
As Moses was faithful to the Israelites, Jesus is faithful to us, and we are His household if we keep our faith until the end (Matthew 10:22).
-
Verse 6. Being saved by faith requires staying in faith. And faith has to be maintained attentively.
-
Keep strengthening your faith, so that it survives when times are hard.

-
Verses 7-15
-
You also be faithful to Christ and strong until the end. This will take daily action and encouragement.
-
Listen to the Word daily, and solemnly encourage your fellow believers to do the same daily.
-
You need to read, learn, and be in fellowship with other believers as often as possible. Communicate daily with believers!
-
-
If you ever stop listening, encouraging, or being encouraged, your heart will be hardened and your faith weakened by unbelief.
-
Even believers can become rebellious if they're not careful.
-
Verses 16-19
-
The Israelites also heard the Word, but they rebelled. Because of their disobedience and unbelief, they fell away.
-
They saw miracles on a daily basis for forty years! But they rebelled because they stopped listening and obeying.
-
Miracles can't save you, nor does seeing mean believing. Listening and obeying is what will keep your faith strong!
