Verses 1-7

When David felt fear over the attack of his enemies, he responded by trusting in God. And when he had trusted, he did not fear. He remembered that man could really do nothing to him (Psalm 118:6).

People can twist words, fight in various ways, and at worst, they're able to kill the body. But all of these things are nothing because they cannot kill the soul or rob us of eternal life (Matthew 10:28).

Focus on the value your eternal life and this will reduce fear of losing physical life.

Verses 8-12

David then reminds himself that God hears our prayers, our cries, and counts our tears. God is for us, not against us. Therefore, no one who is against us can truly succeed (Romans 8:31).

Pray, and focus on the Word. Especially thank and praise God for the value of His Word. Do these, and you will experience more breakthrough!

Because of Christ, and our belief in Him, it is binding upon us to praise God.

Prayer and the Word encourage trust in God, which breaks the power of fear upon the soul.

Verses 13

Remember that, at the end of the day, God has indeed delivered us from the eternal death of suffering His wrath in judgment, by faith in Christ He keeps us from falling, and allows us to walk with Him in His kingdom.

Keep your focus on these truths, and you will have greater joy and praise to God.
