Why Foundations Bible Course?

"Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you" (1 Timothy 4:15-16).

"...Let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgmentAnd this we will do if God permits" (Hebrews 6:1-3).

Educating oneself in the Word is about getting grounded in sound doctrine. Doctrine refers to the essential teachings--foundational understandings--that allow us to grow and properly interpret everything else in the Word. With a strong doctrinal foundation, people are truly saved and stay saved. Without a strong foundation, our gospel will be weak and prone to leading others astray. And without a strong foundation, we cannot grow into maturity.

Use the lessons, reading assignments, and optional teaching videos in this course to get grounded in all the essential doctrines that make for a strong faith in Christ!
